From "Fix-It and Forget-It"
6-7 fresh tomatoes, peeled and crushed
1 medium onion, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
6-oz. can tomato paste, optional
1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
2. Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours. If the sauce is too watery for your liking, stir in 6-oz can of tomato paste during the last hour of cooking.
3. Serve over cooked spaghetti or other pasta.
